Connection to Remote Live View has Failed

If you are receiving the following errors when attempting to use the Thinkware Remote Live View feature, follow the steps below to correct this issue.

Confirm the Dash Cam is connected to a Hotspot Device

Confirm that the camera is connected to a Hotspot device by ensuring that the Wi-Fi LED is a solid blue.

*To connect the Dash Cam to a Hotspot Device, click here.

*Remote Live View, while parked, is only available on the U1000 Dash Cam.

Check the Upload Speed of your Hotspot

To be able to use the Remote Live View the Hotspot Device must have a minimum upload speed of 4 Mbps.

*If receiving the delayed error, this is due to the upload speed of the Internet source used. Ensure this is 4 Mpbs or over.

Test the Other Cloud Features

Check if the Locate Vehicle, Geofencing, Impact Upload Notification, and Video features are working correctly.

If the Remote Live View is the only feature that is not working, this may be the server on our end. 

Ensure to wait for 30 minutes and try again. If you are still unable to access the Remote Live View, please contact us at support@thinkware.com or 1-844-865-9273.
