Power Draw of the Q600

I am looking to install a Q600 and was going to use a USB out from the head unit in the car (used for Apple Play etc)

I am assuming as this output is enough to charge a cell phone will it be enough to run the camera?

    Hello Steve,

    Unfortunately, our Dash Cams can't be powered through the USB port. You will need to either hardwire the Dash Cam to a fuse box, use our OBD Cable, or plug in the Dash Cam through the cigarette port.
