Software installation issue

greg kimnach

I downloaded the Windows viewer app for the Q800Pro, installed it, and ran it.  All seemed to go well until the next time I wanted to view videos.  There was no desktop shortcut, there was no Thinkware application folder in the default x86 program files folder (nor in the x64bit program files folder).  I then attempted to re-install it (as administrator) and noted the installation process.  Again it "seemed" to install, but did not create a folder nor desktop shortcut.  The app successfully ran at the end of the install process.  I closed the app, deleted the installation file, searched for thinkware on my computer without any results.  the only way I can run the app is by re-installing it.

I believe I ran into this issue once before (probably in the Windows 2000 era)--the issue is that software goes through the steps of installing without actually installing.

I have searched for similar issues on Windows 10 x64 without success.
