I have 3 hotspots set in my U1000, home wifi, onstar wifi and a mobile hot spot. Is it possible to have the U1000 connect to first, second or third choice automatically. I leave my mobile hotspot running in the car at all times,
for parking mode. While driving I want it to use the cars built in wifi, because of unlimited data. When parking away from home there is no home or onstar wifi (only works when car is on). Then it will connect to mobile hotspot because its they only one available. But to avoid having to manually connect to a hotspot when there is more then one available. It would be great if when I'm home it connected to home wifi (which has excellent coverage in driveway), when I drive away from home automatically connect to onstar wifi and connect to mobile hotspot when I turn vehicle off(which it does) all without having to touch anything.
At this time we do not offer this option in the Settings. We will forward this suggestion to our team to potentially add in the near future. At this time to force the U1000 to connect to the In-Car WIFI when the External Hotspot device is near is to disable this hotspot in which the Dash Cam will begin searching and connect to the other known connection.

I found a work around.... I'm using an old S7 as my mobile hotspot. U1000 is connected to phone only. The phone does all the work and I dont have to manually do anything. Android phones have wifi sharing so when driving the phone connects to onstar wifi, when parked and no wifi phone uses LTE connection, and when Im home the phone connects to home wifi. I have cam set to 5ghz, even though car wifi is only 2.4, it doesn't matter because the cam is only connect to phone. I only have to touch phone when I want to change setting or view videos.

U1000 Camera’s cloud service only works with mobile phone with hotspot not vehicle hotspots or standalone hotspot according th Thinkware Tech support. Blackvue X series work with all 3 hotspots.
