Viewer crashes
F50 with optional GPS. I think is worked once when I first installed approx. 4 years ago. Didn't check if for a few months, then one day tried to download an event and NOTHING there. GPS wasn't working, so they replaced under warranty. The replacement never worked right either. The unit would record 5 minutes of trip then nothing and no voice prompts other than the greeting when you first start and the power comes on. Thinkware customer service is unresponsive and pretty much impossible to have a conversation with!
I have left in my window as a fake deterrent for the last few years. This week I decided to update the firmware. Thinking Okay, going to give this thing one more try before ripping out of my car! The new firmware seems to have woken up the camera and GPS. Load the files into the PC viewer. It thinks about opening the file (spinning blue circle) then crashes.
Any suggestions? If no one can help me, maybe I'll use it for target practice with my pellet gun and post the video on You Tube.
Looks impressive in the windshield. BUT garbage product and garbage support.
