New U3000 Issue with saving region settings
I have 2021 Subaru Outback. Just bought a U3000 with an OBD-II cable. To begin with, I connected the U3000 to the OBD receptacle using the OBD-II cable. Pressed the power button on the U3000. Voila - got a solid blue Wifi indicator and a solid red Rec indicator.
Here's where the interesting things started:
1. Used the Android App Store to download/install the Thinkware Dashcam Link App. Opened App. In the meantime the Wifi Indicator on the U3000 had turned off. To get that back I had to cycle power to the U3000. OK, got solid blue on the Wifi.
2. Pressed Wifi button for at least 4-5 seconds, was able to connect to the device from my Android app.
3. Went through the region settings. Saved fine. Continued on to connecting to the SSID internal to the U3000.
4. Powered off the device. Restarted the phone app and the device.
5. Couldn't establish the Wifi connection anymore. Only option I saw was to factory reset the U3000.
6. From then on, I could re-establish the Wifi connection (I assume this means the Bluetooth), but cannot get past the region settings - “Failed to Save” message on the phone app.
7. So now I have a device that is essentially unusable since I cannot do anything with the phone app.
HELP!
Thanks!
