New Q800Pro. Plugged into the OCD outlet in Blazer. Try connecting iPhone12Pro with iOS 14.6.
Installed the Thinkware Cloud app. Press the WiFi button on camera (has blinking green light) and tells me to connect to Thinkware WiFi.
Here is the issue… sometimes it will show and sometimes it will not. When does show, I connect but then a bit later will drop and extremely FRUSTRATING!!!
Hotspot is virtually useless since even with a personal hotspot set up via my iPhone, it will drop the WiFi Thinkware if it’s connected and then look for hotspot but then tells me have to connect to internet and blah blah. Moral of that issue is, hotspot can’t be set up.
I think I have a defective unit!!
So far, I was excited to get this and now I am wanting to return it!

Now I definitely want to return and get my $$ back!!!

I'm having issues as well on a Samsung S21 and when I spoke with a support rep she stated they were aware of the issue and working on a fix. Now they are asking for specific details which I cannot provide since the app constantly crashes and say there's a bug with it... I'm about ready to send mine back as well and go with a different setup. Very frustrating!

Here, I am a year later and I have the exact same issue. It keeps disconnecting from the internet. Even gets better my thinkware app says there is a software update, when I download it, it say I already downloaded it, eventually after restarting the wifi and the hotspot over and over till it works. It will eventually let me attempt to install it , but it takes forever and the camerea drops its internet connection before completly installing it. I too have called for support. but not getting much help yet. Now I have Amazon contacting them too. If this is how this dash cams going to work its going back..
