SD card free space
I've just inserted a new, blank 64GB card into my F70 and the files were updated as normal. However, with just two one minute recordings on the card, to confirm the recording voice prompt I notice that the free space is just 7.76GB. Does this mean that the dash cam will not use the majority of the space available or is Windows just reporting it incorrectly? The card is formatted as exFat.

Hello There, once you first insert the empty SD Card, the Dash Cam will automatically load some necessary files to operate. When these files are loaded, the SD Card will display that it's almost full. However, as the Dash Cam starts recording and saving videos, it will overwrite the files and create more space to save the videos.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure you understand the issue. I had a new 64GB card which I put the files onto so the capacity now is still not quite 64GB. I then put the card into the F70, it created some new files and then I tested it and it created two video files, about 160k for these two files. Now Windows is saying I have less than 8GB free. There is no way that the process that the F70 goes through in order to operate would use an additional 56GB of space. Or is Windows reporting the free space wrongly and I do have almost 64GB of space to use? These are new sandisk UHS-I cards.
Reading your answer again, do you mean the F70 allocates a separate space which can't be seen by Windows, (like Linux) and saves files to it?
Hi There, that's correct! That's why the SD Card might be completely empty but Windows is still showing that most of the space is being used. This shouldn't affect the amount of videos saved to the SD Card.
That's great, thanks.
