U1000 Hotspot setup problem
Recently bought a U1000 with plans to connect it to my car's hotspot (BMW X3). When I get to the point in the instructions where it tells me to turn on the hotspot, it is already on, however my phone stays connected via the Wifi.
When the unit says connected to the internet, do I have to move my cellphone to the hotspot to complete the setup. When I press connect via hotspot, the app never connects.
To top things off, when I first tried to set up the hotspot, I misspelled the password and couldn't connect. I had to use connect using another device.
Boy, am I frustrated.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try:
1. You can try changing the SSID and password of your hotspot (This can help start a fresh connection)
2. The U1000 has an option to switch the wifi frequency band to match your hotspot. This will be in your dashcam settings>Under system settings. Please make sure the setting is set to the correct band!

I am having similar problems and am ready to return the system to Car Toys for a full refund. Why would Thinkware invest so much in the hardware design and development and then deliver the software application with so many problems?
