Multiplexer + iVolt Xtra Battery Pack Installation

Hello, 

I just need clarification regarding the installation of both the Multiplexer and the iVolt Xtra Battery Pack. So the Multiplexer has to be connected to a constant fuse slot and not to the external battery, correct? Since the dashcam will be connected to the battery, and there's no additional constant power wiring on the battery for the Multiplexer.

    Hi John,

    That is correct. The Multiplexer box shall be connected to a constant fuse for its power source and to enable parking mode.

    Can i use a distribution block like WAGO 221-413 lever connector to connect both the dashcam and multiplexer yellow wires to the iVolt output yellow wire?

    Hi John,

    We do not recommend using a distribution block to tap and add the Multiplexer box. This is to avoid compromising the iVolt's performance as well as any damage it might incur.
