I’ve connected my U1000 (with radar module) via the optional OBD adapter. Everything was fine but suddenly, my Auto Stop/Start no longer functions. My vehicle indicated the “battery is charging”.
I disconnected everything and reset the sensor by disconnecting the negative terminal of my battery. Vehicle ran fine, including AS/S for over a day… then I plugged the ODB back in… and voilà… AS/S stopped working again.
Anyone else have this type of issue??? I’m thinking I need to hardwire the power now and the ODB adapter is causing the problem.
Thanks!
We are sorry to hear about the issues happening with your OBD II cable.
We are currently investigating the OBD compatibility issues with Start/Stop. The Start/Stop affects the OBD cable and does not let it function as the camera can't tell when the camera is using start and stop which may cause the camera to go into parking mode when driving.
Please reach out to our support team (support@thinkware.com) and we will provide the correct cable needed and help fix your issue. Thank you!
