Using PC Viewer

I have PC Viewer installed and used reader to insert SD card, and footage is listed in window lower right of viewer.  When I highlight a clip and click on the play button, I get a pop up that says "Codec installation is required for playing selected videos" witha download button.  Click to download it, and when I open I get an app that wants to make changes to my device called "LAV filters" from a published Hendrick Leppkes. This doesn't even seem like a Thinkware thing so I deleted it, but still can't play videos.  This doesn't seem legit but is it something I am supposed to install to make the viewer work??

    I'm getting the same issue now on 2023/06/05, with PC Viewer version 1.4.5.15

    Update: The PC Viewer software apparently isn't supported any more, and you'll just have to deal with video files manually. The support staff I spoke with says they will be correcting the Support product pages shortly.
