parking recording modes
Hate to be a complainer, but none of the parking modes seem to make sense, and I just wanted to make suggestions for future changes to improve these options.
Motion Detection is really motion detection and impact detection, not sure why these have to be tied together. For example, I want impact detection capturing both before and after, that's pretty much all I want for the parking mode. "Motion Detection" mode is the only way to get that, but it's tied to constant motion detection. Wherever I park at home or work, there are always tree branches blowing in the wind, so I get hours and hours of recordings of blowing tree branches filling up the memory and consuming power. Complete waste for me, but I understand that some people in some cases might want that. So there are the sensitivity options for motion, I select the lowest, it still records constantly. If you can select different sensitivities, why can't there just be an "off" option, as in "ignore all motion?" Then I'd have just the impact detection, which is all I want. Or just make the motion detection and impact detection separate - you can select, either, both, or none?
Time Lapse mode has impact detection which is great, but also is always recording, so again hours and hours of clips I don't need. Why can't there be an option to "just record impacts"? Users could choose if they want to record constantly or just when there is an event.
So then the only real option that doesn't run down the battery and fill up the memory with useless videos is Energy Saving. Problem with that, which your own comparison videos on the website shows, is it doesn't record any actual impact. The car backing into you while parking doesn't get recorded, just the car *after the impact* moving away from your car, which would be useless to prove anything. I assume this is to save the most energy, the system is basically sleeping until impact wakes it up and it begins recording? So maybe that's fine, if you want to be able to have monitoring available for the longest time before hitting the battery saver cut-off. But couldn't there be some options with this, to allow some buffering to capture say 5 secs before impact and 10 secs after? Maybe like a "Super Energy Saving mode (basically the current "Energy Saving" mode) and an "Eco" mode, where you can capture that pre-impact footage but sacrifice some of the battery saving.

Hello There,
Thank You so much for your feedback. We will be speaking with our development team to see about upcoming changes to Thinkware's parking modes.
I'm having this same issue. I park my car in a a carport and parking mode in Motion detection mode fills up my 128gb card in less than 4hrs. There a front and back recording for every minute.
