Thinkware Viewer on Mac
Some time ago I was using FA200 and when viewing videos on iMac, noticed that bumps (vertical sensor) showed up in the viewer with the RED line which is alleged to be the acceleration/deceleration while Accelerating and Braking showed up in the BLUE trace which is pictured as being the Vertical or Z axis. Also, the "globe" at the bottom of the viewer did not show actual direction but rather just flipped back and forth from East to West. When I questioned Thinkware and after a lot of communication back and forth, they said that it was because I was using Mac and that they had no current plans to fix the problem. Just this week I upgraded to U1000 and installed the newer version of Viewer and lo and behold...the same problem exists. Hard cornering does encourage the Yellow trace to display G forces accurately but the X and Z axis remain confused. I'd have though by now that Thinkware had their stuff together but... apparently not. Anyone else on iMac noticing this same glitch?

Hello there,
The shape of the car and the shape of the earth at the bottom of the Mac PC viewer is just an animation effect. It has nothing to do with the actual value. The X, Y, and Z values are the measurements of the sensor and do not indicate the direction of the vehicle's movement. It's just a value that shows the sensitivity of the shock. This value shows the type of car accident and the intensity of the impact. A change of about ±0.3 can be caused by vibration as the car moves. In fact, in the event of a major shock or accident, the value should be ±0.5 to 1.0 or higher.
