Add SSH Server to F800 Firmware
I wrote this suggestion about a month ago regarding improvement of WiFi connectivity process: https://mondosystemhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360037220313-Suggestions-for-Improvement-to-F800PRO-Firmware
In the interim, I discovered that the F800 Pro supports rtsp and telnet protocols.
rtsp allows wireless video streaming from the camera to whatever app you have that supports rtsp streams. Right now, I am using TinyCam Pro installed on my in-car head unit. So, without going through that whole connectivity conflagration required to connect camera to smartphone, I can now effortlessly stream and record video directly from camera over my in-car wifi system.
Telnet allows you to log into the F800 Pro command line (it uses Linux). Admittedly, most users will not/should not want to do this.
Bravo for this, Thinkware!
One more suggestion? Could you support SSH? This will allow users to both:
1. Log into F800 Pro command linie; but also
2. SFTP (secure FTP) into F800 Pro to download files.
There are any number of SFTP clients currently available, and this method of download would be infinitely easier than the current method, which again requires pushing button on camera, connecting smartphone to camera, etc...
If you won't support SSH, then how about FTP? There are even more FTP clients available.
Please consider it for next firmware update!!!
