Register your compatible dash cam using Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, an external LTE module, or the built-in LTE connection on T700. Follow the section for your model.

Note: Your smartphone must run Android 7.0 or later, or iOS 11.4 or later.
Registering via Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot
Note: U3000 PRO, ARC 900, and ARC 800 require an external LTE module and cannot use a separate hotspot. The Wi-Fi/mobile hotspot method below is for U3000, U1000 PRO, U1000 Plus, Q1000, Q850 PRO, Q850, QA200 PRO, XD350, DVR-F790.
For hotspot setup, use a separate phone or hotspot device to provide internet while your setup phone connects directly to the dash cam.
Connect the dash cam to the internet
1. Open the THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK app and connect to your dash cam by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
2. Go to [Dash Cam Settings] > [System Settings] > [Internet Settings] > [Enabled]
3. In THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK, open [More] > [Network Service] > [Network Connection], then tap [+] to add a hot spot.
4. Select your hotspot or Wi-Fi network, enter its SSID and password, and tap [Connect]. If it is not listed, select [Enter network directly].
5. Confirm that your hotspot appears under [Current Network] with the status [Connected]. the connection LED blinks yellow.
Register the dash cam in the app
1. Open the THINKWARE CONNECTED app and sign in or create a THINKWARE account.
2. Tap [Register dash cam].
3. Select [Wi-Fi Type] > [Register with barcode] and scan the barcode on the bottom of the dash cam. Alternatively, enter the dash cam serial number manually.
4. Listen to the connection confirmation prompt.
5. Check that the app shows registration as complete.
Registering via LTE module
Use these steps for U3000 PRO, ARC 900, and ARC 800.
Install and connect the LTE module
1. Start the vehicle and select [LTE Modem] using the settings for your dash cam:
Models without an LCD screen (U3000 PRO):
Connect through THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK, then select [Dash Cam Settings] > [System Settings] > [USB-C] > [LTE Modem].
Models with an LCD screen (ARC 900, ARC 800): On the dash cam, select [Home Menu] > [Settings] > [System] > [USB-C] > [LTE Modem].
2. Check that your SIM service is active. Insert the SIM card fully into the LTE module in the correct orientation and close the slot cover.
3. Choose a location near the dash cam on the upper windshield or inside the glove box. Use the 50 cm cable for the windshield or the 3 m cable for the glove box. Keep the module out of direct sunlight; use the glove box if you frequently park outdoors.
4. Connect the cable's Micro 5-Pin end to the LTE module and its USB-C end to the dash cam.
5. Check the indicator on the dash cam using the table below, then register in the app. ARC 800 also displays a registration prompt.

6. Secure the module at your chosen location using its adhesive pad and neatly route the cable.
Register using the ICCID
1. Install THINKWARE CONNECTED and sign in or create an account. If prompted during account setup, enter your mobile phone number for emergency notifications.
2. Tap [Register dash cam] and select [LTE Type].
Caution: Use the SIM card ICCID printed on the front of the LTE module. Do not enter the IMEI or the dash cam serial number.
3. Tap [Barcode] and scan the registration barcode on the LTE module label or enter the SIM ICCID manually.
4. Tap [Certification Request]. When prompted, press the REC button once on U3000 PRO or ARC 900, or tap [Confirm] on the ARC 800 screen.
5. Check that the dash cam appears as registered in THINKWARE CONNECTED.

Registering T700 using its built-in LTE connection
T700 uses a nano SIM card installed directly in the dash cam. Use an active SIM plan supported for T700 in your region. Follow the THINKWARE CONNECTED LTE instructions provided for that region.
1. Insert the nano SIM into the dash cam's SIM card slot with its metal contacts facing the mount connector, until it clicks into place.
2. Install and power the dash cam. Wait for its LTE indicator to turn green.
3. Open THINKWARE CONNECTED LTE, sign in or create a THINKWARE account, and tap [Register Dash Cam].
4. Enter the full SIM ICCID shown on your SIM card, confirmation email, or online SIM account. Tap [Certification Request].
5. When the dash cam plays the voice prompt, press the REC button once.
6. Confirm that the dash cam appears as registered in the app.
