GPS Not Connecting
If you are experiencing issues with the Thinkware GPS not connecting when powering on your Dash Cam, please refer to the troubleshooting outlined below to correct the issue.
The GPS accessory may not receive a signal;
- If within underground/indoor parking lots, between tall buildings, places where the sky is not visible, etc.
- If the Dash Cam has not been used for a long period of time, the GPS connection may take longer than usual.
- If the Windshield is covered in a Metallized Film.
- If there is a storm or heavy rain.
Troubleshooting
1. Ensure the Dash Cam is not within 20 cms (8 inches) of a GPS Navigation Device, Radar Detector or other accessories.
Test by moving the Dash Cam to see if the GPS Connects when farther away from these accessories.
3. Update the Dash Cams Firmware.
