This article helps you troubleshoot a dash cam that appears offline in THINKWARE CONNECTED.
Registration and connection depend on the identification number, an active internet connection, USB-C port settings, battery protection settings, and account registration.
Note: Do not confuse the THINKWARE CONNECTED app with the THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK app. The THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK app is used to connect directly via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and establish local connection, while the THINKWARE CONNECTED app provides remote cloud features, impact notifications, and live vehicle tracking.

1. Verify Active Vehicle Power and Ignition Status
2. Verify Mobile Hotspot or LTE Module Internet Signal
3. Check Parking Recording Mode Compatibility
Verify Active Vehicle Power and Ignition Status
Confirm that the vehicle ignition is turned ON or that the dash cam is actively powered in Parking Mode. If the vehicle 12V battery drops below the set voltage cut-off threshold, the dash cam will power off completely, causing it to display as offline in the app.
Check Status LED Indicator and SIM Activation
Check the LED indicator on the dash cam for your model, then confirm its registration and connection status in the THINKWARE CONNECTED app.

The table below separates internet connection and registration-complete indicators for U3000 PRO, ARC 900, and ARC 800.
| Model and indicator | Internet connection | Registration complete |
|---|---|---|
| U3000 PRO — BT/Wi-Fi LED | Blinking Yellow | Solid Yellow |
| ARC 900, ARC 800 — STATUS LED | Blinking Yellow | Solid Yellow |
Note: The SIM card pre-installed in the LTE module must be activated as part of your THINKWARE CONNECTED subscription plan during initial registration.
Verify Mobile Hotspot or LTE Module Internet Signal
- For Mobile Hotspot Users: Confirm that your mobile hotspot device or secondary smartphone hotspot is powered ON and within Wi-Fi range of the vehicle. Ensure your mobile hotspot settings have [Allow Others to Join] enabled. We recommend removing any special character to the hotspot name and password.
Check whether your THINKWARE CONNECTED service period or subscription plan has expired.
- For LTE Module Users: Check the model-specific indicators under Check Status LED Indicator and SIM Activation and confirm the dash cam status in THINKWARE CONNECTED. Cellular coverage can be lost underground or in remote areas.
If cellular coverage is lost in an underground garage or remote area, the LTE connection remains unavailable until the vehicle moves to an area with cell service.
Check Parking Recording Mode Compatibility
- While RADAR Parking Mode or Energy Saving Mode is active, the communication chipset is powered off and THINKWARE CONNECTED remote access is unavailable. An impact wakes the dash cam to send a notification. Continuous remote communication is available only in Motion Detection or Time Lapse mode.
- If Smart Parking switches the dash cam to Energy Saving Mode because of temperature or voltage conditions, THINKWARE CONNECTED features are also unavailable. When normal temperature or voltage is restored and the dash cam returns to Motion Detection or Time Lapse mode, THINKWARE CONNECTED features become available again.
None of the above worked
If the issue continues after checking the registration number, internet connection, app and firmware, USB-C setting, battery protection, and account ownership, contact THINKWARE support.
