The Wi-Fi Frequency setting on the U3000, U1000, and Q1000 Dash Cams, allows you to choose a specific broadcast frequency that a Hotspot device can use to send or receive data.

Do I need to set the Wi-Fi Frequency on my Dash Cam?

Yes. The Dash Cam will be unable to connect via Hotspot unless the Wi-Fi Frequency of the Hotspot Device and Dash Cam Setting match.

The Wi-Fi Band Setting can be found under System Settings.

What options does the Dash Cam offer?

The Thinkware U3000, U1000, and Q1000 both offer 2.4 or 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi Frequencies to choose between.

The Q800PRO can only be connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Frequency.
