The Thinkware Multiplexer Accessory allows you to turn your dash cam into a 3, 4, or 5 Channel system.
We recommend professional installation of the system, as an installer will be able to determine the best setup for your vehicle make and model.
How to Install the Multiplexer Box Accessory
Please refer to the following information for installing the Multiplexer Box Accessory with your Thinkware Dash Cam.
If you are experiencing any issues with your Multi-channel setup, please refer to the troubleshooting steps outlined below. If the issues do persist, please reach out to our team at support@thinkware.com or 1-844-865-9273.
Multiplexer Troubleshooting
1. Ensure to test that each of the cameras is working before installation.
*To do so, check the recorded footage or live view of the dash cam.
2. Check the toggle switches of the Multiplexer Box Accessory to ensure they have been configured to the correct number of channels.
3. Ensure all cable connections are securely connected.
*If not plugged in fully, this may cause the camera's not to show in the live view or recorded video.
4. Check that the Multiplexer Box is receiving Constant Power.
*If the Multiplexer Box Accessory is not receiving power, the multi-channel setup will not show or record.
5. If all the above steps do not correct the issue, individually connect each channel to the Front Camera directly to test that the Rear Camera is recording correctly.
Check that each rear camera can be seen in the Live View and recorded video files can be found in the File List.
You can then determine if this is an issue with the Rear Camera itself rather than the Multiplexer Box Accessory.
If you are still experiencing any issues with the Multi-channel setup, please reach out to our team at support@thinkware.com or 1-844-865-9273.
